If the Teamsters were to represent any of our team members in Baltimore, the Union would not have any right to be involved in United Road’s negotiations with our customers concerning freight rates or lanes. The Teamsters were not at the table when Jack Cooper was negotiating with Ford and General Motors and were not able to affect the customers’ decisions. Customer relations will always remain solely with the Company, and we will continue to work to maintain the best freight options for our company employees and independent contractors.
