In the past five years Teamster members have filed 2,201 unfair labor practice charges with the National Labor Relations Board against the union. These charges were for things like Interfering with a member's rights, failing to bargain with the employer and failure to handle an employee's grievance, just to name a few. If you were to feel unfairly treated by the union, the only recourse you have against the union is to make a federal case out of it by filing an unfair labor practice complaint with the NLRB at your own expense.
